Beat butter, cream cheese sugar and vanilla in a large
bowl with
an electric mixer on high for 3 mintues. Beat in egg
yolks until
blended. On low speed, beat in flour. Divid dough into
4 sections,
wrap each and chill until firm.
Start with one portion of dough and cut in half. Roll
out on
well floured surface. Cut out with cookie cutters and
place 1 inch
apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Leave remaining dough
refrigerated until ready to roll out more.
Beat egg whites with a fork and brush lightly on unbaked
cookies.
Sprinkle with colored sugar and bake at 350F for 10 minutes
until
golden. Let cool for 1 minute on cookie sheet before
moving.
Makes aprox 96 cookies.
