A tastey sweet cookie
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbsp grated orange zest
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts if desired
Instructions
Cream sugar and butter til light and fluffy. Beat in eggs,
milk and orange zest. Mix together dry ingredients and
then mix in. Stir in nuts and raisins.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls unto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4-5 dozen.
