Carving........ Every year our whole family decorates a pumpkin and each of us has a special part to do. My mom puts all the names of all the parts of the pumpkin face on pieces of paper and then puts them in a bowl. Whatever part we pick is the part of the pumpkin we decorate. It is a lot better this way because then all of us get to decorate the pumpkin instead of one person. We have a party when we do it and have popcorn, apple cider and sometimes homemade pumpkin shaped cookies. It is almost as fun as going Trick or Treating.

 Craft........ For Halloween centerpiece, use the miniature pumpkins. We make them into candle holders, then place other small gourds, squash, etc. around them. Just cut a small hole in the top of the mini-pumpkin and scoop out with a spoon.
