Logitech® Video Effects Halloween Contest
Logitech will turn the drawings submitted by the grand-prize winners into Logitech Video Effects, which are virtual, three-dimensional Halloween masks that anyone can use to turn their own video image into that of the Halloween character. When used with the Logitech® QuickCam Fusion™ webcam, anyone who downloads the Video Effects can turn their ordinary video communications into video entertainment.
The contest, for 10-to-17 year-olds, highlights the entertaining possibilities of the new Logitech Video Effects software, recently launched in conjunction with the Logitech QuickCam Fusion webcam. The innovative Logitech Video Effects software enables people to completely transform their image into 3D animated characters whose expressions mimic people’s facial movements. People can also use the software to add animated accessories, such as eyeglasses, to their on-screen image. Logitech Video Effects software works with all popular webcam applications, including MSN® Messenger Video Conversation, AOL® Instant Messenger™ (AIM®) and Yahoo!® Messenger.
“Kids and teens are communicating with instant messaging applications, and our Halloween contest gives them an added level of fun – communicating with live video and a cool Halloween character,” said Gina Clark, director of product marketing for Logitech’s video business unit. “Logitech Video Effects add entertainment and personalization to any video communication.”
Contestants will draw an original Halloween character and submit it to Logitech by September 30, 2005. The drawing of each of the two grand prize winners, chosen based on creativity, quality and drawing ability, will be transformed into digital Halloween characters, and made available for download on Logitech’s website in time for Halloween.
$1000 Worth of Hot Prizes Awarded to Grand Prize Winners
Two runners-up will be selected from each age category and will each receive $500 worth of cool prizes, including a Logitech Quickcam Fusion, a Sony PlayStation® Portable (PSP™) and Logitech PSP accessories.
Logitech Video Effects Halloween Contest information and rules are available at the Logitech web site.
