BUFFALO GAMES KICKS OFF 25TH ANNIVERSARY BY ANNOUNCING SIX NEW PUZZLE LINE SERIES FOR 2011
Banner Year for Award-Winning Party Game and Jigsaw Puzzle Company with Two New Game Additions; Six New Jigsaw Puzzle Series
Buffalo, NY (January 14, 2011)- (Virtual Press Office) -- To commemorate 25 Years of Fun, Buffalo Games will unveil its newest party games and jigsaw puzzle lines at the American International Toy Fair in New York City, February 13-16. Party games Gotcha! and Phone Tag Frenzy will launch at the event, as will six new puzzle lines including a 4000 piece series; Photo Seek; Classic Peanuts; and a series by each of renowned artists Bonnie Marris, Mort Kunstler, and C.F. Payne.
4000 PIECE SERIES
Very few companies throughout the world manufacture 4000 piece puzzles, and Buffalo Games is the only puzzle company in the United States to do so. These sizable puzzles will share the same crisp and satisfying ‘snap’ as each interlocking piece is placed, with virtually no puzzle dust, as all puzzles the company makes.
The 4000 piece series debuts with two iconic images: Times Square and Neuschwanstein Castle. Heralded as the premier tourist destination in New York with more than 26 million visitors annually, Times Square is a stunning image on every puzzle it graces.
Located in southern Bavaria and arguably the most recognizable castle in the world, Neuschwanstein Castle is said to be the inspiration of the Disneyland castle. This exquisite image is one of our most popular jigsaw puzzle images, and variations of the image can be found in additional piece counts of 300, 1000, and 2000 pieces.
BONNIE MARRIS (1000 piece)
Bonnie Marris has studied and painted wolves, foxes, dogs and horses. Her approach is to view each animal as an individual, with its own personality and soul. This passion for both animals and the wilderness clearly manifests itself in her art, and she feels her work has accomplished its purpose when a viewer feels the same. The series features four images: Dog Days, Best Friends Welcome, Alley Dogs, and Old Faithful.
MORT KUNSTLER (1000 piece)
This new series will include five iconic images by Mort Kunstler, widely known as “the country’s most-collected Civil War artist.” Kunstler has painted everything from portraits of prehistoric American life to the odyssey of the space shuttle, but his reputation stands as the premier artist within the genre of the Civil War. Included in this historical-themed series is The Angle, Hero of Little Round Top, Twilight in Gettysburg, Valor in Gray, and Gettysburg Address.
PHOTO SEEK (750 piece)
Get ready for the challenge of Photo Seek! This brand new series plays on the “spot the difference” concept. There are 15 subtle differences between the image on the finished puzzle and the image on the enclosed poster. The differences will take a sharp eye and coare ful scrutiny to spot – can you find them all? There are four versions: Portofino, Irish Shop, Hot Air Balloons, and Pagoda Garden.
C.F. PAYNE (500 piece)
C.F. Payne is one of America’s most recognized artists and during his career has been commissioned to paint countless politicians, entertainers and authors. His paintings have graced the covers of Time, Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone, Esquire, and National Geographic, among others. Most recently, Payne provided the original illustrations for the first three “Molly” books in the American Girl series. Additionally, he has illustrated ten children’s picture books, including The Remarkable Farkle McBride and Micawber, written by John Lithgow. For our new C.F. Payne series, we chose his humorous views of modern life: Midnight Snack, Choices, Classic Rock, and Morning Walk.
CLASS IC PEANUTS (300 piece)
The world has loved PEANUTS for more than 50 years. Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the gang can be seen in the PEANUTS comic strip which is published in more than 2,200 newspapers in 75 countries, and translated into 25 languages. We have captured the Peanuts magic in five timeless, classic, and loved scenes: Charlie and Snoopy, Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tree, Lucy and Schroeder, The Red Baron, and The Great Pumpkin.
