Ravensburger, the first name in high-quality, beautifully-designed puzzles and playthings, is at the top of its game with a captivating new selection of board games for children and adults, including Electronic Labyrinth, the first version of the award-winning and internationally-acclaimed shifting maze game with an electronic component. Ravensburger also is bringing three of its most popular strategy games from Europe to the U.S. - The Castles of Burgundy, Asara and Seeland - and expanding its popular Imagine, Play, Discover line of fun, educational games for preschoolers. Ravensburger's puzzles, games and WOW brand toys will be on display at the 2012 American International Toy Fair February 12-15 at the Javits Convention Center, Booth #441.

"We're thrilled to introduce U.S. consumers to Electronic Labyrinth, the latest addition to our 25-year-old - and consistently popular - Labyrinth game series," said Thomas Kaeppler, CEO, Ravensburger. "With the addition of our prized European strategy games, we now have an even broader selection of games to help families make wonderful memories together."

Ravensburger's 2012 game collection includes:

  • Electronic Labyrinth - The latest in the best-selling series, the new interactive board game features an electronic book that helps players look for magic gems. Players must free the wise wizard and his friends by breaking the spell cast by the evil witch that banished them into the labyrinth. Players travel through the enchanted maze talking to the dwellers and bringing them the objects they desire in exchange for magic gems that help break the spell and free the captives. Ages 8+, SRP $49.99

  • BITS - Piece by piece and "bit by bit," players try to build a grid of shapes and colors. Led by task cards that tell them what to build, players strive to obtain the right tiles to accomplish their tasks. A quicker playing version of Ravensburger's popular FITS game, BITS is designed to appeal to a wide audience. Ages 8+, $34.99

  • Asara - In this game of strategy and cunning, players take on the roles of famous architects. They compete with each other to build the highest, grandest and largest number of towers over four rounds play. Each player must dispatch their buyers to the marketplace to purchase tower sections in five different colored grades of materials — base, trunk, window, turret. The one that amasses the most prestige wins. A 2011 German "Game of the Year" Award nominee from Spiel des Jahres e.V, Asara was created by prominent, award-winning game developer Wolfgang Kramer. Ages 9+, SRP $39.99

  • The Castles of Burgundy - Gamers with a passion for history are immersed in European aristocracy as they attempt to build and manage their 15th Century estate in Burgundy, France. Over the course of five rounds, players collect points by trading, livestock farming, city building and scientific research. They must buy and sell goods or labor and use action tiles for building, shipping, mining, livestock and knowledge. Ages 12+, SRP $39.99

  • Seeland - Assuming the roles of adventuresome 18th Century Dutch merchants, players strive to harvest the most crops, using windmills to take back land from the sea. During the game, players must make the best use of their seeds and building timber to accomplish their quest to become a respected merchant. This family-friendly game with easy-to-grasp instructions, features a double-sided game board for four different game options. Ages 9+, $39.99

  • Race Through Space, A Mission to the Moon! - A new classic in the Imagine, Play, Discover series, the colorful game board resembles a child's interpretation of our galaxy - complete with shooting stars, asteroid fields, rocket ships, space stations and more. Ages 6+, SRP $19.99

  • 4 First Games - Four fun-filled games in one box, each with their own game board! With bold artwork and preschooler-appealing themes, the games include The Bird's Nest, King of the Castle, Garden Party and Tasty Bones. All are quick-play games that help children with color identification, counting, taking turns and following directions. Ages 3+, SRP $24.99

Continuing in 2012 is the recently released, multi-award-winning Whoowasit?. The captivating "who done it" electronic board game challenges players to find the magical ring stolen from the wise king by the evil wizard. In a timed game, players must work together as a team, moving their pieces through the various rooms on the board to discover who stole the precious gem - with the help of talking animals and a treasure chest that randomly supplies clues. The ever-changing assortment of clues ensures that no two games are alike - and each one is as "enchanting" as the next! Ages 7+, $49.99
