PRESSMAN TOY INTRODUCES NEW BOARD GAMES THAT WILL BRING FAMILIES AND ADULTS TOGETHER FOR SOME FRIENDLY COMPETITION

Pressman Toy Adult Social Games and New Word Game Among Those Being Showcased At the American International Toy Fair in New York City, Booth #1903

New York, February 14, 2010 – Pressman Toy is introducing an array of new original board games in 2010 that families and adults will enjoy. Among them are games that challenge the mind, as well as games that encourage social interaction at any party or get-together.

“Board games are an affordable entertainment option that can provide hours of enjoyment time and time again,” said Jim Pressman, president of Pressman Toy Corporation. “We hope our new games bring families and adults around the kitchen table for some quality time together and good fun.”

The new games will be on display at the Pressman Toy booth (#1903) at The Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) American International Toy Fair, February 14-17, 2010 in New York City. The new games are scheduled to be in stores for 2010.

2010 Product Highlights:

    WaveLength
    For 4 or more players; Ages teen to adult; MSRP: $24.99
    WaveLength is the game where players rank, match and score to determine, “Are you and your partner on the same WaveLength?” Players organize into teams of two players each. Each person on the team is given a scoring pad. On their turn, a team will draw a card and then roll two dice—one determines the theme for that round, the other die, indicates how many points their total answers are worth. Once the timer starts, all players in the game have 60 seconds in which to write down the first five answers that come to mind and to rank their answers in the order in which they think their teammate would have thought of the same answer. Players get one point for having the same answer, and another point if the answer is ranked in the same order. The first team that proves they are on the same wavelength by making it to “Finish” wins. The game includes more than one thousand pop culture questions about movies, television, music, sports, history, politics, geography, and even household goods.

    QB
    For 1 to 4 players; Ages 8 to adult; MSRP: $9.99
    QB is a new dice word game from Pressman Toy. Players score points by building words crossword style with lettered cubes. QB gives players more possibilities on each turn than traditional tile word games; for example, some cubes have two letters, which means even more word options. Features four ways to play and a travel bag that lets players take the fun everywhere.

    Mindmatchers
    For 2 to 4 players; Ages 12 and up; MSRP: $22.99
    Pressman Toy’s Mindmatchers is a hilarious, surprising game that puts players to the test as they get inside the heads of their family and friends. Players try to match each other on categories like best foreign accent, best U.S. president, and best topping for pancakes. Surprising twists may set them back or launch them closer to finish. Features six game-show-like, wipe-off answer paddles and 50 game cards with 100 categories.
