Lennon Sisters to Show Their Award Winning Product Line in Booth # 1056

BRANSON, MO (February 15, 2009) – Kathy and Janet Lennon, of the Lennon Sisters, will be introducing the latest additions to their awarding-winning Best Pals line of children’s music, soft rag dolls, paper dolls and play sets at New York’s Toy Fair in booth 1056. They will be in the booth daily from February 15 – 18, 2009.

“We are thrilled with the response to our line, and are excited about sharing our newest introductions at Toy Fair,” stated Kathy Lennon. “It is also gratifying to us to realize our dream of bringing a product line to market that is sweet and wholesome, and to have it recognized for its play value.”

“It’s very rewarding to speak to retailers who are having success with our line,” said Janet Lennon. “We are hoping to build on our success by expanding the line through new introductions and licensing partnerships in the coming year.”

Among the introductions are a new children’s music CD entitled Best Pals Sing Together. The album contains children’s classics such as Sing, Sing a Song, The Candy Man, Whistle a Happy Tune/Pick Yourself Up, Inchworm, Little Child, Bushel and a Peck, Anything You Can Do, Monkey Medley, How Much is That Doggie in the Window, and Let's Go Fly a Kite. The CD will also feature two brand new original songs, written by Janet’s husband John Bahler and 9-year old granddaughter Lia, and exclusive to this album. The songs are entitled My Little One and My Very, Very, Very Best Pal. Kathy and Janet sing with Janet’s three granddaughters Lia (age 9), Ana (age 7) and Jenna (age 4), who also perform with them on stage in Branson, Missouri annually. Suggested retail is $20.00

The introduction of an old-fashioned Best Pals Doll Trunk Gift Set rounds out the line’s play set category. The trunk comes complete with the Original Best Pals dolls Kathy and Janet, 2 flannel nightgowns, Mini Pets Mitty Kitty and Stinky Puppy in a handy carrying bag and the brand new Best Pals Sing Together CD. Inspiration for this gift set came from the doll trunks that Kathy and Janet carried while traveling with the Lawrence Welk Show as young girls.

In addition, the company is introducing the Janet Lennon Paper Doll, a reproduction of a paper doll set originally created in 1962 which includes 47 wardrobe options. There are three Lennon Sisters paper doll sets in the line currently as a result of an increased request for these retro favorites. The Janet Lennon Paper Doll has served as inspiration for a collectible doll designed by renowned doll designer, Robert Tonner as well.

Their first children’s music CD, entitled Best Pals, as well as the dolls and play sets received a host of awards including the Creative Child Preferred Choice Award for 2008, Creative Child’s Top Toy of the Year, iParenting Media Award, Dr. Toy’s Best New Products for 2008, the National Parenting Center Award and the National Association of Parenting Publications Awards.

The Best Pals line was designed to offer a line of wholesome children’s products as an alternative to many products in the marketplace today. The soft ragdolls are based on a set of dolls that were given to Kathy and Janet Lennon in 1949, which were handmade for them by their mother and their Nana.
