In expanding its family of “Stinkin’ Fun” board games, Uncle Skunkle caters to a growing market trend where quality reigns over quantity; grandparents especially appreciate these high-end games that families can keep for generations
TOY FAIR 2010, New York, Booth #5367, Feb. 16, 2010 - (Virtual Press Office) - Uncle Skunkle Toys, Inc. (UST), a developer of games that not only look good in your living room, but also bring fun and enjoyment to the entire family, is pleased to add Drawer Dropper© and Gaunt-O-Lot© to its growing family of “Stinkin’ Fun” board games. Uncle Skunkle Toys is offering live demonstrations the games in booth #5367 at the Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) Toy Fair ’10, February 14-17, 2010 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Drawer Dropper is a fast-action discard game where Jack Pot! could mean trouble! This fast-paced, turn-style game combines strategy, luck and a good memory to create endless chaotic fun. Gaunt-O-Lot is a fast-paced Build ’em up - Knock ‘em down game that harkens back to the to medieval times, where battle was about honor and chivalry. Players take turns defending their castles while others attempt to knock their opponent’s wrecking ball off the track. This action-packed game allows players to answer one question – are they builders or destroyers?
“Over the years, Uncle Skunkle Toys has built a solid reputation as a developer of award-winning, socially responsible board games that bring fun, excitement and intrigue to any family game night,” said David Schreiber, President, Uncle Skunkle Toys, Inc. “This year, despite the recession that has rocked the global economy, we are finding that parents and grandparents, especially, are opting to stretch their budgets by giving one high-quality gift that the whole family can enjoy for years to come, as opposed to several trendy gifts that will lose their luster in a matter of months.”
Grandparents, in particular, find Uncle Skunkle Toys’ family games appealing because they are quality games that the entire family can enjoy. Instead of purchasing multiple gifts for their kids and grandchildren, they can buy one game everyone can play with. Also, because they grew up in an age where games were the only family entertainment, they understand the concept of how family game night can bring families closer together. Grandparents can visually comprehend the purpose of an Uncle Skunkle game. There are no complicated tools or screens to understand, as is the case with many of today's video/computer games. Uncle Skunkle games also offer a level playing field for adults and children, alike. Our games are also good for cognitive thinking and dexterity across generations of players. Finally, Uncle Skunkle games offer them the opportunity to leave a legacy, as our games can last several generations.
Uncle Skunkle Toys is committed to the environment, and Drawer Dropper and Gaunt-O-Lot are both crafted using sustainable rubber tree wood. “Realizing that the current trend is to be ‘eco-friendly,’ we use sustainable materials simply because it is the right thing to do,” continued Schreiber. “Our goal is to offer customers a high-quality, long-lasting alternative to the hundreds of products that currently use plastics and other composite materials, many of which end up in landfills.”
