Chanukah

Definition: The Jewish festival of Chanukah falls around the time of the winter solstice and is often called The Festival of Lights.

It is celebrated by lighting special candles each day at sundown.

Chanukah commemorates the victory, more then 2000 years ago of a band of Hebrews, led by Judiah Maccabee who recaptured their temple in Jerusalem from the ruling Syrians.

Chanukah by definition means dedication
